In her latest instalment of Urban Interiors with Mar, Our interior designer Marlene Card  gives us a sneak peak at some of  the hottest Fall looks that will be on display at IIDEX this year.

The IIDEX show in Toronto is THE event to go to if you want to get in the know about the hottest and latest trends in the world of design. It is Canada’s largest National Design and Architecture Expo and Conference. Over 15,000 interior designers, architects, facility managers, real estate and business executives all come together at this event.

This year’s event will take place on September 21st. Here’s a sneak peak at what will be on display at IIDEX this year.

Friendly Wall

This is a new ecofriendly wood paneling which comes in maple, oak and walnut. It adds a contemporary warm look to a room and is very easy to install.

Ideal Edge

Decorative edges give a fresh look to laminate countertops and islands.

Allure Brilliant

Inspired by Shanghai’s World Financial Center, this slick faceted faucet lends a decidedly architectural feel to sinks and basins. For an added flair, the water flow can be seen via a cut-out detail on the top of the spout.

This Expo is going to be a fabulous show. I have a seminar booked about Northern Sustainability: The development of super energy efficient housing. And I will be back with some highlights from the show along with some of my personal favourite looks.

Talk soon!
